The Council of Ministers is the chief executive body of the Grand Duchy of Greifenberg. It consists of the Minister of State (equal to a Prime Minister or Chancellor) and four other ministers. Each of these government ministers is responsible to HRH the Grand Duke of Greifenberg for the particular portfolio (or portfolios) with which they have been entrusted.
As a collegiate branch of government it executes only those duties which have been expressly entrusted to it by law (or upon decree by HRH the Grand Duke). All other governmental duties reside with the ministers of the responsible ministry. The Council’s most important constitutional responsibility is its function to pass bills.
