Obverse: On the right side of the banknote is the portrait of HRH Grand Duke Paul of Greifenberg, the Head of State of the Grand Duchy of Greifenberg. At the top is the inscription STATE CENTRAL BANK OF GREIFENBERG (in English) and LANDESZENTRALBANK GREIFENBERG (in German), and at the bottom of the banknote is the date of issue. On the left side of the banknote are the signatures of the State Minister of Economic Affairs and Treasury and the Director of the State Central Bank of Greifenberg. At the center of the banknote is the inscription FIVE KRONEN (Five Crowns in English/German) and FÜNF KRONEN (Five Crowns in German) denoting denomination of the banknote. (Note: As an acknowledgement of the German roots of the Grand Duchy of Greifenberg, only the German word Kronen (Crowns) is used.)

Reverse: On the right side of the banknote is the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Greifenberg. At the top is the inscription GRAND DUCHY OF GREIFENBERG (in English) and GROßHERZOGTUM GREIFENBERG (in German). On the left side of the banknote is a flowering stalk of Edelweiss (Leonto-podium alpinum).

State Central Bank of Greifenberg Announces Minting of First Coin of the Grand Duchy of Greifenberg
The State Central Bank of Greifenberg (Landeszentralbank Greifenberg) announces the release of the new 20 Greifenberg Kronen (GKR) coin. The new coin is silver-nickel plated and features a reeded edge and three-dimensional (3D) raised relief designs on the obverse and reverse.
The obverse features the image of the ruling sovereign, HRH Grand Duke Paul of Greifenberg, His royal monogram, the value of the coin (in Greifenberg Kronen) and the year of issue (2008). On the reverse is the national coat of arms, the words “Grand Duchy of Greifenberg,” and the mint mark. The coin was minted by The Monterey Company of Mountain Center, California, USA.
